RECREATIONAL HARVESTING

Recreational harvesting activities are the major focal point of commission activities as this provides direct benefit to citizens of the town, state and region. Recreational permits for clams, oysters and other shellfish are available on an annual basis. Scallop harvesting is allowed on a seasonal basis, also by daily or seasonal permit. Signs are clearly posted on Conditionally Managed waters.
